Airmar B164 Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer – 50/200 kHz, 1 kW, 20° Tilted Element for Trailered and Center-Console Boats
Airmar B164 Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer – 50/200 kHz, 1 kW, 20° Tilted Element for Trailered and Center-Console Boats
B164 Bronze Thru-Hull - 50/200 kHz - 1 kW - 20 Tilted Element - Requires Mix Match Cable
20 tilted version for 16 to 24 hull deadrise angles. Step up to a 1 kWwithout a fairing! The 1 kW, flush-mount, Tilted Element transducer is perfect for fast, trailered vessels that cannot accommodate a High-performance Fairing. The flush-mounted, bronze housing extends less than 6.35 mm (1/4) below the hull so that it can sit on trailer rollers and bunks. The ceramic arrays are tilted within the housing, providing a perfectly vertical beam with maximum energy at the point directly below the boat.
Features:
- Depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing
- 1 kW of power
- Dual-frequency elements:
- 50 kHz with a wide 22 beamwidth for depth performance to 549 m (1800)
- 200 kHz with a 6 beamwidth for depth performance to 244 m (800)
- Interfaces to any 600 W or 1 kW echo sounder
- Engineered for center-console and trailered boats
- Low-profile bronze housing extends less than 6.35 mm (0.25) below the hull
- No effect on the boats running performance

The Airmar B164 Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer is engineered for optimal performance on fast, trailered vessels and center-console boats, providing reliable depth and temperature data without impacting boat handling or speed. Designed with a low-profile bronze housing that extends less than 1/4 inch below the hull, this transducer is ideal for boats that require a flush-mount solution and can sit securely on trailer rollers and bunks. Its 20° tilted element ensures a vertical beam pattern, maximizing signal strength directly beneath the boat for precise readings. The transducer’s dual-frequency capability, with 50 kHz and 200 kHz options, allows for versatile depth performance—up to 549 meters (1800 feet) at low frequency and 244 meters (800 feet) at high frequency—making it suitable for both recreational fishing and yachting applications. Featuring a 1 kW power rating and compatible with any 600 W or 1 kW echo sounder, the B164 offers excellent responsiveness for fast water-temperature sensing and deep-water fishing. Its durable urethane acoustic window and rugged bronze construction ensure longevity and reliable operation in a variety of marine environments. The transducer utilizes patented Xducer ID technology for easy identification and integration with compatible systems. With a 2-meter (6.5-foot) cable and a 9-pin connector, installation is straightforward across different hull materials, including fiberglass and wood, and it is suitable for vessels up to 36 feet in length with up to 24° deadrise. Whether used for leisure yachting or fishing, the B164 Bronze Thru-Hull delivers accurate, high-performance sonar data without compromising vessel performance or speed.
Features:
- Depth and water-temperature sensing for versatile marine navigation
- 1 kW power rating for strong, clear sonar signals
- Dual-frequency elements: 50 kHz with a 22° beamwidth for deep water to 549 meters (1800 feet), 200 kHz with a 6° beamwidth for shallower depths to 244 meters (800 feet)
- Interfaces seamlessly with any 600 W or 1 kW echo sounder system
- Engineered for center-console and trailered boats with low-profile bronze housing
- Housing extends less than 1/4 inch below hull, suitable for trailer boats
- No impact on boat’s running performance due to streamlined design
- Available in stainless steel housing (SS164) for all hull types
