DT800 NMEA 2000 Bronze Retractable Long Stem Thru-Hull with Depth Temperature
The DT800 utilizes Airmars proven Tilted Element and broadband technologies in this depth and temperature Smart Sensor. The DT800 is a long-stemmed, low-profile, retractable, thru-hull sensor that accurately computes depth and temperature data and sends it to any NMEA 2000 network. Airmars Smart Sensors have embedded microelectronicsthe transducer element and signal processor are only millimeters apart. The signal from the depth transducer is processed right inside the sensor itself. All that is needed to receive depth and temperature data is a single cable into a compatible network or display.
The ceramic is tilted inside the housing, compensating for hull deadrise and orienting the transducer beam straight down. This results in strong echo returns and accurate depth readings. The DT800 is sold with a choice of rugged housingsplastic, bronze, or stainless steelto accommodate any vessel type or hull material. These low-profile housings do not affect hull performance and will give accurate readings at high speeds. The housing features a water valve that minimizes water entering the boat when the retractable insert is being removed and replaced with the blanking plug.
Features:
- Depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing
- Depth performance from 0.5 to 183 m (1.6 to 600)
- 235 kHz frequency prevents mutual interference with other echosounders on the vessel

The Airmar DT800 NMEA 2000 Bronze Retractable Long Stem Thru-Hull sensor is designed for serious sailors, anglers, and boaters seeking reliable, high-precision depth and water temperature readings. Built with advanced broadband and Tilted Element technology, this smart sensor ensures accurate data collection even at high speeds and in challenging hull conditions. Its low-profile, retractable design allows for easy cleaning and maintenance while maintaining optimal performance in various vessel types and hull materials. Whether you're cruising, racing, or fishing, the DT800 provides essential environmental data to enhance navigation and safety onboard.
The ceramic tilt compensates for hull deadrise, aligning the transducer beam straight down and delivering strong echoes for precise measurements. Available in durable bronze housing, the sensor is suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls and features a water valve that minimizes water ingress during insert removal. Its 235 kHz frequency prevents interference with other sonar devices, making it ideal for multi-sensor vessel setups. The compact design, combined with a 6-meter NMEA 2000 cable, ensures straightforward integration into existing marine networks, providing real-time depth (from 0.5 to 183 meters) and temperature data (from -10 to 40°C) with high responsiveness.
Engineered for reliability and ease of installation, the DT800's rugged construction and water-resistant features make it suitable for both leisure yachting and competitive racing. Its ability to operate at speeds up to 45 knots and handle deadrise angles up to 28 degrees makes it versatile for a wide range of marine environments. With a maximum depth range of approximately 600 feet, this sensor offers dependable performance for demanding marine applications, ensuring that you have accurate environmental data on every voyage.
