Sikaflex-504 SL is a 1-component silane-terminated polymer (STP) sealant that cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity. Its flow characteristic is designed for roof sealing applications where the sealant must partially level for wider coverage and still be able to encapsulate protrusions in the roof, such as bolt heads. Sikaflex-504 SL has a wide adhesion range and very good weathering resistance, making it suitable for open joints.
Sikaflex-504 SL is suitable for sealing a wide variety of RV roofing components and materials, including gel-coated, fiber-reinforced plastic, EPDM, metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramic materials, and plastics.
Seek the manufacturers advice and perform tests on original substrates before using Sikaflex-504 SL on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed, ensuring adhesion and material compatibility.
Advantages:
Bonds well to a wide variety of substrates
Semi-self-leveling for roof sealing
Very good dispensing characteristics
Isocyanate free
Low VOC content
Very good weathering resistance
The Sika Sikaflex-504 SL is a versatile, single-component silane-terminated polymer (STP) sealant designed specifically for roof sealing applications. Its semi-self-leveling formulation allows for wider coverage and the ability to encapsulate protrusions such as bolt heads, making it ideal for maintaining the integrity of various roofing surfaces. This product cures upon exposure to atmospheric humidity, forming a durable, weather-resistant seal that adheres strongly to a broad spectrum of substrates including gel-coated surfaces, fiber-reinforced plastics, EPDM, metals, ceramic materials, and plastics. Its formulation ensures excellent adhesion and flexibility, even in outdoor conditions, providing long-lasting protection against the elements. The Sikaflex-504 SL is also free from isocyanates and contains low VOCs, aligning with environmentally conscious building standards. It offers very good weathering resistance, ensuring that your roof remains sealed and protected over time, even under harsh weather conditions. The Trident Marin Extra Flex Corrugated Wet Exhaust hose works great. I had to replace the old hose coming from the generator muffler to the exhaust pipe going out the hull. The hose needed to be curved and the flex was perfect. Delivery was fast with no issues. Thank you
